Respectful Relationships Education Program
LOVE BiTES is a well-established Respectful Relationships Education Program created by the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) for young people aged 11-17 years that has been facilitated in schools across Australia since 2004, and on the Central Coast since 2008.
The four scaffolded workshops create a suite of Respectful Relationships Programs that build upon each other to provide communities with sustainable, localised, whole-of-community programs and strategies that are guided by an ecological theoretical framework, behaviour change theory, children and young person inclusive practice, and culturally inclusive practice.

RYSS have been a part of the LOVE BiTES Central Coast program since its inception, being the lead agency until 2016, where Coast Shelter have taken the lead. RYSS continues to work with other Central Coast organisations and government departments in a partnership model to ensure that the program is delivered all over the Central Coast.
In late 2019 the LOVE BiTES Central Coast program secured funding from the Department of Social Services (DSS) with RYSS working in partnership with Coast Shelter as coordinating agencies, further continuing the community partnership model that has worked for over a decade. The LOVE BiTES Central Coast Coordination team, along with the Steering Committee, are actively working towards expanding the footprint of LOVE BiTES on the Central Coast.
LOVE BiTES Central Coast acknowledges the continual support received from the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN), who are the owners and authors of the LOVE BiTES and LOVE BiTES Junior Programs.
