NGALIYA – WE ALL TOGETHER

Ngaliya is our Cultural Connections program by the Indigenous Justice Program at RYSS.

It focuses on bringing at-risk Indigenous young people aged 16 - 18 together for weekly activities and workshops to connect and engage with their culture and community.

Ngaliya is an 8 week program running at our Yarning Circle and youth facility, Wyoming Youth Skills Centre. Including a range of practical supports:

Get Job Ready – Resumes, interview prep & mock interviews

Domestic and Family Violence Supports

Healthy Living

Drug and Alcohol Education

As well as heaps of fun activities including:

Outdoor recreation including cultural bush walks and beach days.

Motivational guest speakers

Cultural education experiences

NRL fun day – with Indigenous NRL Star guest speaker

BBQ lunches Every Session

Basketball, pool, video games & more
