RYSS provides supports across the entire NSW Central Coast, and is your point of access for high quality services, resources and facilities specifically tailored to children, young people and their families, young people with disabilities and those wanting to increase independence, build skills and engage in their community.

CASE MANAGEMENT

RYSS offers a range of case management options where the needs and goals of the individual are key to our support. Innovation and creativity drive the design and implementation of intensive case planning and early intervention strategies. Our supports focus on the development of life skills, building independence and resilience, to ensure children, young people, and families are empowered to achieve their potential.  

 

TARGETED EARLY INTERVENTION (TEI) 

Supports children, young people and families aged 12-25 with:  

  • Intensive, Individualised Case Management 

  • Family Capacity Building 

  • Transitional Accommodation  

  • Advice, Referral and Information 

 

INDIGENOUS JUSTICE PROGRAM (IJP)

Supports young Aboriginal men and women aged 14-18 who are at risk of engaging in the Justice system with: 

  • Intensive, Individualised Case Management 

  • Transitional Accommodation  

  • Advice, Referral, and Information 

  • Cultural Engagements, Family Reconnections, Support and Events 

ONE3ONE YOUTH HUB

RYSS One3One Youth Hub is dedicated to supporting vulnerable young people across the Central Coast region to improve well-being and mental health, build resilience and increase employability through strategies such as:

  • Resilience Building Programs

  • Skills Based Programs

  • Youth Counseling 

  • Case Work

  • Employment Skills Cafe

  • Training Opportunities

  • Digital Hub

  • Collaborative Space/Venue

  • Targeted Youth Outreach

DISABILITY SUPPORT UNDER THE NDIS 

 

CORE & CAPACITY BUILDING SUPPORTS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Our RYSS Abilities Team supports children and young people aged 10 and over in a range of core and capacity-building areas, including social and community engagement, Daily Living, self-care, employment, life skills, accommodation supports, and more! Our team can also assist with NDIS reviews, and offer general advice and guidance on accessing NDIS for the first time. 

 

COORDINATION OF SUPPORTS

Our Support Coordination Team is on hand to provide tailored and individual, youth-specific Coordination of Support and Specialist Support Coordination for young people aged 12-25 across all areas of the Central Coast who may already have or need help accessing NDIS funding. 

 

GROUP PROGRAMS

RYSS Abilities Groups are a range of fun workshops and group activities designed specifically to help NDIS Participants, aged 12-25, with social and community participation, meeting like-minded peers in a safe and supportive setting.  

 

SCHOOL LEAVER EMPLOYMENT SUPPORTS (SLES)

Our Abilities Team is available to deliver a range of employment assistance including 

  • School Leavers Employment Support (SLES) 

  • Individual Employment Assistance 

  • Transitioning from school to further education 

  • Personalised support tailored to your NDIS plan goals.

SPECIALISED INDIVIDUAL SUPPORTS 

 

FEE FOR SERVICE SUPPORTS

RYSS Provides a range of intensive case management and early intervention supports under a fee for service arrangement,  including the Housing NSW Rent Choice Youth Program, and by arrangement with other service providers across the Central Coast. 

SKILL DEVELOPMENT & CAPACITY BUILDING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

We deliver a range of workshops and group activities designed specifically to help children, young people and families to build their skills, independence and resilience. Groups are targeted, innovative and flexible in their delivery and guided by evidence-based content to ensure informative, comprehensive and engaging experiences by all participants.

OUTREACH & YOUTH PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

 

MOBILE YOUTH OUTREACH CENTRE – THE RYSS BUS 

The RYSS BUS is custom-fitted to deliver education and training sessions, forums, and information seminars, internet access, art and creativity workshops, outdoor cinema, music performances, and a range of other intervention and engagement programs out and about in Central Coast schools and community events.  

GENQ

GenQ is a safe place for young people 12 – 17 years of age who identify as Sexuality and Gender Diverse and is the longest-running program of its kind on the Central Coast. GenQ is an engaging, activity-based program for SGD young people to socialise, gain information and support, and have fun meeting like-minded peers!  

COMMUNITY EVENTS 

We are passionate about getting out and about and engaging with young people in our community. We run youth-led projects and events that provide training experiences for young people to help them learn project-related skills whilst showcasing to their community positive experiences with great outcomes.

WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO
 Regional Youth Support Services (‘RYSS’) is a leading, locally based child and youth registered charity and Not For Profit agency, delivering frontline youth support services and innovative engagement strategies to vulnerable young people between the ages of 12 and 25, and their families in communities throughout the NSW Central Coast.
